ROBERT LEWANDOSKI WON THE BEST FIFA MEN’S AWARD IN 2021

Bayern munich’s Robert lewandoski won The best FIFA MEN’S AWARD for the second consecutive time in 2021 beating P.S.G’s Lionel Messi and Liverpool’s Mohammed Salah in the race.

The FIFA player of the year award was instituted in 1991 and was merged with BALLON D’OR and went by the name FIFA BALLON D’OR until 2016, FIFA and France Football decided to break off and give out separate awards. The First Best award was issued in January 2017 which was won by cristiano ronaldo but The First ever FIFA Player of the year award was won by world cup winning german captain Lothar Matthaus. Cristiano Ronaldo and Zinedine Zidane have won the award 3 times each in their career, Lionel messi and Robert Lewandoski on the other hand have won it two times each.
